IAF – KRM-4 Broadband 8-channel SDR transceiver

IAF GmbH in Braunschweig, Germany uses our RFSoMs KRM-4ZU47DR or KRM-4ZU48DR in their broadband 8-channel SDR transceiver SDR6004. The pin-compatibility of these SoMs allows IAF to enable their customers to choose if they want to take advantage of hardened SD-FEC feature without any additional design or production effort. The unique feature of KRM-4 series SoMs of 2 independent DDR4 memory interfaces on the PL side in addition to a dedicated DDR4 for the PS side allows for most effective buffering of incoming or outgoing data streams while maintaining full memory bandwidth for the processor to operate. The FPGA’s exceptional parallel processing power in combination with the full high speed I/O capabilities ensure that IAF can feed and consume the necessary data bandwidth.
