Overview of Modules

The KRM module series follows the philosophy that only essential and complex elements are to be part of the core module. Peripheral circuits such as Ethernet Phy’s belong on the carrier, which defines the application specific functionality. By strictly adhering to this line of thought, KR can offer an extensive line of fully interchangeable modules across a broad range of performance points.

Based on Zynq-UltraScale+ RFSoC

Equipped with a Xilinx Zynq XC7ZUxxDR component with Quad Arm® Cortex®-A53,  Dual Arm® Cortex®-R5F and Programmable Logic based on 16nm FinFET+ architecture. Module offers access to 8x High-speed RF ADC’s @ up to 5.000 Gs and 8x High-speed RD DAC’s @ up to 10.000 Gs.

A compact, high end module that features the Xilinx RFSoC embedded in a most versatile design so that it can be optimally utilized in a multitude of applications.  Only a 12V supply is required as all  FPGA and RAM voltages are generated on board. Everything from power sequencing,  configuration and clock generation is implemented on board. The Dual 64Bit PL DDR4 RAM, operating at 2.4GT/s, provides the highest PL memory bandwidth of any currently available RFSoC module. Sixteen 28Gbit transceivers provide ample connectivity, on board dual QSPI and eMMC memories allow for a multitude of boot options and storage.

Based on Zynq-UltraScale+ MPSoC

Equipped with a Xilinx Zynq XC7ZU2/3/4/5CG component with Dual Arm® Cortex®-A53,  Dual Arm® Cortex®-R5F and Programmable Logic based on 16nm FinFET+ architecture.

A compact, upper mid-range low power module that features the most commonly used features in an easy to integrate 50mm x 70mm form factor. Only a 3.3V supply is required as all  FPGA and RAM voltages are generated on board. Everything from power sequencing,  configuration and clock generation is implemented on board. 3ZZUxxx Series are fully plug’n’play compatible to 3Z7xxx Series modules.

Based on Zynq-7000

Equipped with a Xilinx Zynq XC7Z020/30/45 component with Dual Arm® Cortex®-A9 and Programmable Logic based on 28nm.

A compact, low power module that features the most commonly used features in an easy to integrate 50mm x 70mm form factor. Only a 3.3V supply is required as all  FPGA and RAM voltages are generated on board. Everything from power sequencing,  configuration and clock generation is implemented on board. The “Config done”  pin indicates the ready state of the module. 3Z7xxx Series are fully plug’n’play compatible to 3ZUxxx Series modules.

Based on Zynq-7000

Equipped with a Xilinx Zynq XC7Z010-xCLG400x component with Dual Arm® Cortex®-A9 and Programmable Logic based on 28nm. Module contains 2 instances of 256Mb x16 LP DDRIII RAM PS @1066MHz (1GB total).

A compact, low power module that features the most commonly used features in an easy to integrate 30mm SO-DIMM form factor. Only a 3.3V supply is required as all FPGA and RAM voltages are generated on board. Everything from power sequencing,  configuration and clock generation is implemented on board.  The “Config done” pin indicates the ready state of the module.
